Emission control
Emission Control
The complete chain - Pre-engine, In-engine, and After-engine solutions
Pre-engine emission treatment - There are several levels at which emission reduction can be controlled. The first level is pre-engine treatment. We provide fuel oil treatment solutions such as Water-In-Fuel (WIF) emulsions reducing NOx and fuel oil consumption/CO2, Fuel oil homoginizers creating homogenous fuels reducing fuel consumption/CO2, and a Fuel Switch to blend high and low sulfphur fuels to required levels reducing SOx. In-engine emission control - The next level is in-engine control and verification. Using state of the art LEMAG MIP instruments, operators can verify that combustion characteristcs are to engine manufacturers' specification. Adjusting engine timing is a well know means of reducing NOx formation, hence the importance to keep firing characteristcs at its optimum as NOx adjustments means increased fuel consumption and CO2. Engines with pre-treatment installed (mentioned above) show much better and stable combustion characteristics, the MIP instrument is the verification. Read more...
Post-engine emission control - The final level is after-engine treatment. We provide Finn-Swiss Proventia NOx Buster technology, a world leader SCR. Selective Catalytic Reduction(SCR) is the most efficient technology availible to reduce NOx. Reduction rates are close to 100% and have positive effects on PM. Engines with pre- and in-engine treatment (mentioned above) will produce up to 30% less NOx thus making "life easier" for the SCR reducing the cost/consumption of Urea. Read more...
Conclusion: any of the above techniques may be used exclusively and/or in any combination adding to optimum performance. It will provide the operator with the tool to increase his competative advantage what ever the target may be. Less cost, better performance, less emissions.
